Can you imagine a world with so much misery?
It exists. It is our world.
Can you imagine a world with so much crying?
It exists. It is our world.
Can you imagine a world whose children are so sad and frightened?

It exists. It is our world.

It exists. It is our world.
"I was discarded everywhere, the poetic whisper in my soul died.
Do not search for the meaning of joy in me, all the joy in my heart died.
If you are looking for stars in my eyes, that is a tale that does not exist."

I only picked one country, Afghanistan, and this is what I came up with.
But it is just an example.
Women, children and men are being oppressed all around the world, no matter how backward or forward we think a country may be.
It could be happening next door to us or it may even be happening to us.
I have come to realise that oppression comes in different forms but it is always devastating.

that was really disturbing to watch. We know these things happen, we know it abstractly, and we put it out of our minds. But to "really know" such things are going on - I mean, to be aware of them, to be conscious of them, and to have to make sense of the world and our lives, knowing that right now some people are facing such distress, anguish and pain - how would that change us? what kind of people would be be? what would we choose to do with our lives, if we weren't ignoring such violence?
I don't know. I don't how we can properly open our hearts and feel compassion in a world with so much horror. when just watching some short video clips hurts...
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks Backbeatlili
I think that was an appropriate post for international women's day
