I don't know if you realised but on facebook everybody have been changing their profile pictures with cartoon characters.This apparently started by the circulation of a message saying:
From the 16th to the 20th of November, we shall change our profile pictures to our favourite cartoon characters. The purpose of this game is to remove all human photos for a few days from Facebook
The origine of this message is still unknown!

The fad began to spread within days of the original message. Soon people started seeing status updates such as this below:
If you didn't change yours yet, there is still some time :p

Το μήνυμα ήταν σαφές, αν και στην αρχή όλοι το αντιμετώπιζαν με δυσπιστία: «Από 15 ως 20 Νοεμβρίου ας αλλάξουμε όλοι τις φωτογραφίες των προφίλ μας, αντικαθιστώντας τες με κάποια φωτογραφία ήρωα των παιδικών μας χρόνων. Σκοπός αυτού του παιχνιδιού είναι να μην υπάρχει ανθρώπινη φωτογραφία για λίγες ημέρες στο Facebook».
Τελικά, πολλοί το τόλμησαν. Και για μια εβδομάδα περίπου, εκατοντάδες προφίλ στο Facebook γέμισαν καρτούν.
Και όλοι μάθαμε μια ακόμα πτυχή των αγαπημένων μας προσώπων: με ποιον ήρωα κόμικ είχε ταυτιστεί στην παιδική του ηλικία.
Οι ήρωες της Disney, ο Μίκι, ο Γκούφι, ο τσιγκούνης Σκρουτζ, αλλά και τα γνωστά Looney Tunes, όπως ο Μπαγκς Μπάνι, o Tαζ και o Τουίτι. Για όλους υπήρχε μια θέση στο «παράθυρο».
Αλλοι επέλεξαν τους Thundercats, τη Μάγια τη Μέλισσα ή ακόμα και ήρωες που κάποτε αποφάσισαν να σώσουν τον κόσμο: ο Spiderman, o Batman, ο Superman.
Δεν έλειψαν και οι κινηματογραφικοί «αστέρες» του Τιμ Μπάρτον ούτε όμως και ο Καραγκιόζης.
Mένει να φανεί αν από το Σάββατο 20 Νοεμβρίου, τα ανθρώπινα πρόσωπα θα πάρουν και πάλι τη θέση τους. Και ποιο θα είναι το επόμενο μήνυμα που θα κινητοποιήσει πολλούς...
