On top of Prodromos village, nearly at 1700m height, an impressive ghost hotel is overlooking the island.. It is no other than Vereggaria Hotel, the one the kings loved and country leaders enjoyed! Its name is reminiscent of royalty as Vereggaria was the name of the queen of Navarre, wife of Richard Lionheart who got married in Cyprus.
At the beginning of the 20th century (1931) Pharouk, the king of Egypt, and Ezer Vaisman, the president of Israel resided at Vereggaria. From visitors reviews “Cypriot hospitality” and “natural beauty” of its surroundings are praised.
The hotel is now deserted and left to the Mercy of God; a photographers' pleasure...

This hotel looks interesting. I think it has the potential to be a tourist spot for paranormal adventure seekers. It might still generate some money specially during Halloweens.
